I will list these starting with my favorite ones down to ways I like less and ways that I haven’t tested myself. Just keep in mind that everyone is different so if I like, for instance, blogging, it doesn’t mean that everyone should go with it just because it is very profitable. You need to find a way that will be enjoyable to you.

#1: Blogging

Blogging is by far my favorite way to make money online. You just find a niche that you are passionate about and you start writing articles. Simple as that. Of course, blogging alone will start bringing in revenue when it is combined with the likes of other marketing fields (more on those in a second), but the general idea of it is the best.

You start your blog (here’s how to do that successfully), write articles that you think people would be interested in, and then profit from this process. And, if you really pick a niche that you are interested in, you won’t spend much time working at all. The blog posts will just flow out of your interested mind.

#2: Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing goes hand in hand with blogging (in my opinion) as it is the second best way to earn money on autopilot. This might include you reviewing products, promoting products, including products in your blog posts in a tutorial or case study style, etc. Where do you find good products to promote you ask? Here you go:

Of course, there are many other affiliate platforms that have a lot of products as well, but those are the most popular ones. So, all you need to do is go on any of them (or all) and search for niche relevant products to promote on your website. I would always recommend you promoting products that you have tested first hand because you don’t want to lead on your audience into purchasing a bad product/service.

#3: Online Services

This is where I started and it’s probably the easiest way to get into the online marketing world. Platforms such as Fiverr, Etsy, eBay, etc, allow people to list their products/services for a set price and then just wait for buyers to latch on.

These products/services can be pretty much anything you can think of – SEO, life coaching, video making, writing, selling your old furniture, etc. Again, I would recommend focusing on something you are interested in. I started out on Fiverr (here’s how you can too) and it worked out pretty well.

#4: Sponsored Blog Posts

If you are running a blog (as you should), you can start selling sponsored blog posts to your audience. This means that you will write an article on a subject that your client wants in exchange for money. This one is very tricky as greed can overtake easily.

Don’t ever write a fake review just because you were paid to do so. Be honest with your buyer and tell them your overview of the process. If you think that it will be a negative article, just let the buyer know instead of leading them on. The integrity of your website is far more important than a few hundred bucks.

#5: Write

If you have good control of the English language and you are confident in your writing skills, then you can easily start making money online. My first gig on Fiverr was a writing gig and it took off pretty fast. Content is always a need, especially high quality content, so if you can provide that, you can easily make thousands of dollars per month just from writing.

Sites I would recommend for this purpose are Fiverr and iWriter. I have accounts on both and whenever I need a few extra bucks, I can just head over there and write a few articles that I enjoy. Simple as that.

If you have a website, you can either sell ad spaces on it (as we do) or you can partner with an advertising platform such as Google AdSense to show ads from their network in exchange for payment.

#7: Freelance

Another option you have is to become a freelancer. Now, this is a bit different from offering online services as you will need to do custom work for every project. But, it also pays much more of course. Sites such as Freelancer, XPlace and UpWork provide the necessary features to start a successful freelancing career.

Now, these 7 ways are very abstract of course. Each of them contains many different types, for instance, online services can be pretty much anything and freelancing can include many things as well. The point is that there are so many ways you can nowadays make money online that it sometimes gets hard to start because you can’t choose – and that’s why I listed my favorite ones which I’m sure first hand are easy and work pretty well.

But if you are having difficulty choosing your way, all you have to do is ask yourself what you would enjoy being paid for. If it’s writing, go with writing, if it’s tutoring, go with tutoring, and so on. In the past there were only so many ways you could make money online, but nowadays there’s something for everyone.
