Penguin 4.0 Should Launch Soon And It Will Be Real-Time
Google’s very own Gary Illyes said on Twitter, that the very much anticipated Google Penguin 4.0 update that didn’t come to be in 2015, and that didn’t come to be at the beginning of this year either, might just launch in a few weeks time.
On being asked if we are weeks or months away from the Penguin 4.0 update, Gary responded with:
I’ll go with weeks. We’re aiming for launching this quarter, but we don’t have a more precise timeframe.
More than 15 months have passed since Google Penguin was last update i.e. Penguin 3.0, and more recently, there have been a lot of SERP dances around the Internet as Google is probably testing Penguin 4.0.
All in all, people around the forums are expecting SERP movements right after Penguin 4.0 launches, however, the good news is that this time the algorithm will be real-time meaning that if it punishes you for something, you can fix it, and the next time your website gets crawled (with the previous problems being fixed), you will return to your normal SERP positions.
