3 Steps to an Ideal Facebook Marketing Strategy

Facebook is one of the popularly used online platforms across the world. The fact that many people use the platform and Facebook analytics tools daily is enough to give businesses and brands a chance to execute a marketing strategy to maximize visibility. Many times, entrepreneurs and marketing officials struggle with getting started. Here are three steps to help you launch your Facebook marketing strategy.

1. Set Facebook Objectives

Setting proper goals is the basis of any marketing strategy. To achieve this, you want to research to establish whether or not you can attain your plan through Facebook. You need to ask yourself various questions including; what do you seek to accomplish from your Facebook marketing concept? What are you attempting to do? Do you want to generate leads, enhance website traffic, or create brand awareness?

After defining your objectives, you get the opportunity to modify your Facebook marketing strategy to meet your needs. When it comes to the Facebook marketing strategy, you can only customize your marketing strategy to meet personalized needs by setting robust objectives. Where then, can you start?

You may want to adopt the SMART strategy. Generally, the term SMART stands for setting specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely goals. For instance, rather than saying that you seek to enhance brand awareness, you can say you aim at gaining 2,000 followers in three months.

This is a SMART objective seeing that it’s specific, can be measured, and even tracked. It’s also realistic and features a time feature. If you want to enhance leads and sales, ensure your goal should be to generate at least 50 leads plus a less than 10% cost per conversion monthly. Having SMART objectives goes a long way in helping you establish whether your Facebook marketing strategy is working accordingly.

2. Identify Your Target Audience

The most robust Facebook marketing strategy would be irrelevant if you don’t define your target audience. Having the right audience is critical. Knowing how to identify your target audience is critical. Assuming you already know who you’re targeting, you can leverage on Facebook Ads Manager to develop an audience.

Click on the Audience section if you plan to develop a custom audience. Proceed to click on the Create Audience option located on your screen’s left-hand side and the dropdown list, choose custom audience. Once you create a custom audience, Facebook will prompt you to define how you’ll want to create your audience by giving you various options. Remember, your preferred option is determined by the information you have regarding your target audience.

When creating your custom audience, you want to focus more on the meter located on the upper right-hand side that demonstrates the size of the audience. Your audience should fall within the meter’s green range. The red color shows is a clear illustration that your audience is overly specific, while yellow shows that the audience is overly broad.

While reaching numerous people is critical, you need to ensure that your audience comprises of the most ideal people. If you can’t establish who your target audience is, you can leverage various Facebook tools to research the statistics of your competitor’s audience.

Plan Your Budget

You need to set your monthly budget if you want to make money. While Facebook is a money-motivated platform, you have to invest in your ads and posts. Facebook will then place your advert in front of people who have probably never heard of it before. In this step, you may want to go back to your objectives and determine the features that are worth budgeting for. Remember, creating content on Facebook is free. However, you’ll have to spend money especially if you want to hire an international advertising agency to create relevant posts for your business.

Finally

Facebook has been marred by controversy in the past. Still, businesses and marketers are not about to quit using it. This is because the platform has numerous subscribers, is easy to use, helps businesses meet a wider and diverse audience, and allows users to create content free of charge.
